  I joined the Ship st surgery about 6 months ago everything seems great at first.the doctor was good. Then i started to have problem with receiving medication that was on a repeat prescription for the rest of my life. I found out the receptionist seem to be causing the problem when I asked them what the problem was I was told it was NHS policy you only give two weeks supply for any holidays and was not possible to give anymore ,they would only be able to give weekly prescriptions and the monthly ones have to stop, however NHS guidelines suggest they supply monthly and you are allowed within reason a large amount of medication to go on holiday with. when I confronted the receptionist with this they then changed their mind and said it was practice policy only to give 1 weeks prescription and only two weeks for holidays. As you can guess I have now left. so please be aware of the receptionists here. The doctor I think is unaware of what they are doing I did make a complaint. I am now at another GP surgery that is good the receptionist work with the doctors , NHS , pharmacy and not independently
