::We visited before and after a shoot in December. Very welcoming indeed. The breakfast set us up for the day and tea filled us up for the night! Great local pub and cracking prices.... never paid such a small amount for a G&T in a pub!! Hopefully we'll be back next season.

::Seems a bit big for a village this size but they have Stowford on tap and happy staff. Great little beer festival in the summer months with bands and heroic strength ciders.

::Turned up on a Sunday with my sister and brother-in-law. We had not booked a table for Sunday lunch, which was a mistake, they were fully booked. However, they still fitted us in, and we got served meals in under half an hour. The food was very good, as was the service. They went out of their way to take into account food allergies, with the chef coming to our table to discuss & check what was and was not ok. Next time I visit my sister and she suggests a meal at her local pub I will be all for it. Highly recommend for good, home cooked food.
