  We love the Red Lion,there has never been anything to complain about Food yummy and plenty full Management lovely Staff lovely nice choice beer and wines We have family come down regularly from the Midlands my brother and wife eat all over the world, the Red Lion is a favourite place We were there just a few weeks ago with.friends and have a table booked 7 of us family Easter Saturday,I've brought vouchers to give as presents.And what ever they've done inside there's a little more elbow room now, I would so recommend it

  I visited at lunch time with friends to celebrate a birthday. We felt welcome from the minute we arrived. The service was first class and the food matched. We had various different dishes but the main hits were the swordfish burgers and the seafood mixed grill. All perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious.

  We travelled a long way to meet with family for a meal at the Red Lion. The meal was excellent; beautifully cooked and presented; it was also great value for money too. The choice of drinks was also very good with a selection of real ales that were very well kept and a nice wine list too. The staff were attentive and helpful without being intrusive in any way. If it wasn't so far away, I'd definitely be making it a regular haunt - highly recommended.

  Fairly fabled around these parts for being absolutely top notch on food, and very reasonable. Hard to disagee with that sentiment too. My only grumble would be that it's essentially a restaurant masquerading as a pub. Sure you can get a decent pint in there but it feels as though you're being hurried in order to make room for diners. Plenty of functions such as quizzes and pie night crop up on a regular basis. The pies are exquisite. Hardly any cider on tap but lots of real ales and lagers. Be warned: if you want to eat then book ahead. It can be very busy at any given time.
