  Both floors look in desperate need of refurbishment. The whole store has a down at heel air to it that is distinctly unwelcoming.

  Staff is quite approachable and pleasant. The only problem is the post office upstairs, there is always a big queue. Staff is overworked. They have installed help yourself machines which are complicated for the elderly and they don't have staff free to help out.

  Nice bookshop where you can buy all sorts of books, if they don't have anything you can order. Apart from books lots of nice board games are also available.

  WHSmiths continue to be an excellent source of writing and art materials as well books, magazines and newspapers. Some of the stuff is a little over priced but still a shop worth visiting for your various writing and reading needs
