  Really disappointing experience with these. Hired a car online for around £60 and on arrival was told I'd have to pay an extra £20 because I was dropping the car off out of hours. I was not clearly informed about this when booking (it should have been in the quoted fee, but wasn't). Had I known I would have used AVIS who are cheaper and don't charge for drop-off. The drop off involved posting keys in a letterbox, which I presume does not cost £20 to manage. I will use AVIS for all future bookings.

  I used this company for car hire whilst my car was being repaired under breakdown cover. Several issues with the service received: They promised me an equivalent car (Merc e-class), but then tried to fob me off with an A-class as they said they did not have any e-classes. I refused to accept this, and funny enough they managed to find an e-class. Next problem was that they did not phone me back as promised to confirm I had a car, or arrange a pick-up time, so ended up waiting around for my car to arrive. When the car arrived it was dark. The person delivering it pointed out a scratch on one wheel. Fortunately I went around the car and found that three of the wheels were scratched/kerbed, and there were scratches/scuffs on the front wing. I pointed these out, and the driver made a note of them on the hire agreement. He assured me I would not be charged for these. Two days later I received an email describing the marks I had pointed out and describing this as additional damage for which I would be charged. I was not happy. Fortunately they backed down over this and apologised. If you use these people, make sure you check the car thoroughly before accepting it. Other than that, the car was very nice and I had a pleasant 24 hours using it.
