::I've stopped in a few times over the past months for various reasons and had great service. For one instance I had a flat tire after work, I stopped in and even though they were busy with other repairs and closing in 30 minutes they squeezed me in for a quick inner tube replacement. Another time I replaced both the tires on my bike. The next day I had a flat and brought it back in, they apologized, took responsibility and replaced the flat free of charge. Nice people working and great service

::Booked in Monday to put a new break on and fix up the back one. Asked about the price and guy behind the till said around or right under 50 pounds. Handed in bike Wednesday morning as agreed. Later in the day Wednesday I received an email confirming my appointment Thursday, so called in and asked what was going on. The guy booking my appointment had not ordered the parts correctly. The same thing happened Thursday and Friday. Rang Friday, they promised to have my bike fixed Monday. Came in to pick it up and the guy behind the hill tried to charge me 103 pounds????? Asked for a price check and he took the labour off so ended up to 63 pounds, but still absolutely poor service. Avoiddddd

::Thank god two wrongs make a right, because Evans staff combine a bad bike service with bad customer service. Upon attracting their attention, they speak to you like you have just interrupted them on the toilet. If the tyre has gone completely flat during the service, fear not - the staff will assume that this is something that just happens to bikes when left alone for 24 hours. They will then pump it up, thus solving the problem of the presumed slow puncture forever. Or at least until you're half way home on it. It'll also cost a fortune compared to other shops, but only if you pay extra for the resistance cardio package where they adjust the brakes incorrectly in a way that makes them rub on the wheel rim.

::Poor service. Forgot twice that I asked for a bronze bike service when leaving my bike with them for repairs. I only intended on getting them to add the parts as part of the service, which they told me was the case, otherwise I would have put them on myself. Better bike shops elsewhere in Liverpool.

::An excellent bike shop with approachable, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I’ve always shopped in Evans for shoes, helmets, puncture repair kits etc. After a cycling accident had written off my old bike I’ve now purchased a new one from Evans. Understandably I was nervous and Mark talked me through different bikes, ordered in a couple off their site for me to look at and even gave me genuine encouragement to continue riding, left me feeling relaxed and confident to get on my new bike. Any nervous bike-owner (I usually find this very intimidating as I’m not a gear head) or gear head will love this shop and the staff, they are really generous with their time, which is hard to find these days in retail, helping and advising you, despite it clearly being a busy shop. My past bike services have always been done promptly and communication is good, a big thank you to Mark and the staff for everything. In a nutshell I would highly recommend Evans Cycles in Liverpool to anyone.
