  I recently came back in the country and opened a MasterCard account with another bank. I popped in this branch as I live local to apply for a normal Visa account. They made me wait like 45 mins to book the appointment for the account opening. I manage to make the appointment. Went over and sat with the account manager for another 30 mins. The application apparently went to an internal review team where after 5 days they called me to say my application to open an account has not been rejected. Obviously no reason or explanation. I went to NatWest next day and got me a Visa account without issues. This bank everyone I know that banks with them is either leaving them or trying to avoid them. A family friend switched his mortgage he had with Barclays because of their hidden fees. I now run a business in the area and happily bank with Metro and NatWest. Barclays come across as the sort of bank that profiles people based on their background and not the actual criteria one must fit to open a bank account. I will never bother with them again nor suggest them to anyone I know. Time wasters and pointless Bank!

  I have had a bad experience here twice now. Once when one of the advisors kept me in the bank for an hour after it closed to discuss inappropriate things, as if we were “friends”, as he called it. Today, 07/04/2018 I got to the bank at 15:56 to cash a cheque, it was the sole purpose of my trip to Ealing. As I was briskly walking up to the door I saw them let one woman in and as I got there the security guard told me “No!”. So I explained to him that I was just there to cash a cheque and it would take me less than five minutes and there were still four minutes left until 16:00. He told me they went by their clock and just “No!”. I’m actually thinking of switching banks because of these ordeals. What terrible service and thank you for ruining my birthday with your negative vibes Barclays!

  I’m really upset because when I made a debit card, the card was not delivered during a month so I went back to the bank twice to confirm the card. They gave me a new card and they said that I cancelled an old your card and someone cannot use the card so I believed, However, after 2months, someone used my card , I had my card and I never didn’t lose my card but this is happened, so I cancelled all of them but I lost money and I will have to confirm again. I hope that this situation must not happen.
